Regio Bianco 2023

Cantina Margò was founded in 2008 by Carlo Tabarrini, who at the time was working full-time in a chocolate factory while also spending nights tending vineyards nearby. A key influence in his decision to start his own project was his memory of his grandfather making wine. That personal connection to traditional, home-scale winemaking eventually pushed him to leave his job and dedicate himself fully to building Cantina Margò.

Cantina Margò is a tiny operation, making roughly 23,000 cases per year. The wines are defined by a sense of energy and clarity, reflecting Carlo’s preference for wines that express character and place without excessive manipulation. Rather than following commercial trends, he focuses on making wines that align with his own palate and guiding philosophy.

His farming approach is holistic, with attention to the vineyard as a living system rather than a purely productive one. This perspective carries through into the cellar, where intervention is kept restrained to allow the wines to develop their own identity.
