David Ravel is a third-generation winegrower and the proud owner of Domaine Fredavelle. After completing his viticulture studies in 1999, he took over the family land and made the decision to vinify his grandfather’s grapes, which had previously been sold off. The vineyard and winery, which he built, are named Fredavelle in tribute to the beautiful countryside in which they are located. In 2015, David partnered with Olivia Menigoz to help restructure the vineyards. Together, they replaced old vines with new grape varieties and modernized the equipment, which led to a notable increase in production. Today, the Domaine produces around 12,000 cases per year. These low intervention wines are aromatic and vibrant, with the white and rosé offerings particularly standing out for their juicy character and underlying minerality.
