Fat Cat Loves Ne Ne 2023

From one of our favorite California winemakers, James Jelks, comes this beautifully balanced medium-bodied wine. With vibrant notes of raspberry, delicate violet, and a touch of wet stone, it captivates the senses with every sip.

James Jelks has been on our radar for quite some time. His love affair with wine began when he secured a position in Burgundy, where he spent a summer abroad immersed in the region's rich wine culture.

Upon returning to California, transitioning into the wine world felt like a natural next step. A California native, James went on to work alongside one of the state's most respected winemakers, Ted Lemon, absorbing everything he could about organic and biodynamic farming practices.

Although James is a true négociant, he sources fruit exclusively from organically farmed vineyards stretching from Santa Cruz to Sonoma. While his wines often appeal to curious and adventurous drinkers, over time he has demonstrated an impressive range of styles and expressions. We continue to be excited by the diversity and evolution of his work.

This wine is a true showstopper, best enjoyed with a very slight chill. Whether you're hosting a dinner party or unwinding with a cozy night in, it's the perfect companion. Pair it with a delicious charcuterie and cheese board or a perfectly roasted chicken.
