'L'Abrunet' Blanc 2024

Brothers Francesc and Joan Ferré are making natural wines on their family’s property in Catalonia. For over 200 years, their family has been growing grapes and olives. For much of that time, they sold the fruit to others—until 2009, when a cancelled grape order left them with an unexpected surplus. Rather than let it go to waste, the brothers decided to make wine themselves.

Their goal was simple: to create wines that truly represent their hometown. They named their winery Frisach, after their great-grandfather’s surname. Eager to deepen his knowledge, Francesc spent time traveling through France, learning from other winemakers and refining an approach focused on minimal intervention and gentle extraction.

The result? Wines that are playful, bright, and constantly evolving.

L’Abrunet Blanc, is considered the purest expression of their vineyard. This Grenache Blanc is harvested twice from the same planting—first when the grapes have reached optimal natural acidity, and again when they have the potential for higher alcohol content. The two harvests are blended, creating what the brothers call the perfect "yin and yang" of Garnacha Blanca.
