Mousses Sauvages Pig Ale

In the heart of Paris, Oronce de Beler was captivated by the elegance of Burgundy’s Pinot Noir, felt a calling that would change the course of his life. Driven by passion, he left the city behind and journeyed to Burgundy to immerse himself in the art of winemaking. After completing his studies in Beaune, he honed his craft with internships at some of the most cherished family domaines. In 2005, he took the bold step of purchasing his first fruit, and thus began his journey of creating wines that are as timeless as love itself.

From the very beginning, Oronce has embraced a philosophy of minimal intervention, treating each bottle with the utmost care and using only the smallest amount of sulfur. In 2017, Maison Romane found its home in Nuit-Saint-Georges, where Oronce’s wines are nurtured with organic and biodynamic practices. With a gentle touch through every stage, the wines are aged in oak barrels, maturing into pure expressions of Burgundy’s soul.

In 2020, La Maison Romane took an exciting leap, lending its name to a very special creation: beers. These limited-edition brews are crafted with the essence of Burgundy, incorporating grape juice, seasonal fruits, or wild plants from the region. This bottling was created in collaboration with Marius Bielle at Lalande de Pomerol. The ale is aged in large wooden casks for one year, allowing the flavors to deepen and mature. These unique beers, much like their wine counterparts, can be enjoyed now or in a few years.
