SLO Coast Pinot Noir 2023
With decades of combined experience in the wine industry around the world, their mission begins with the land. Tyler and Rachel Eck focus intensely on organic farming, honoring the coastal influence on their vineyards, which are planted on ancient sea floors and sand dunes.
Their small-production wines are among the highest quality in the region. The name Dunites pays tribute to the settlers of the 1930s, who valued community while embracing individuality, living outside the cultural norms of the time. In a similar spirit, their winemaking approach stands out in the region.
This juicy, fruit-forward Pinot Noir checks all the right boxes for Pinot lovers. Sourced from vineyards near the coast, it showcases a subtle minerality we’ve come to love in California Pinots. The winemaking process is gentle, preserving the wine’s bright fruit character.
It’s hard to find a great California Pinot you feel good about opening on a school night—but this one hits the spot. The value is definitely there—and one sip in, you’ll understand why the bottle doesn’t last long.
