A group of close friends and winemakers came together to create Ampeleia, united by a shared vision to express the land and produce thoughtful, natural wines. Elisabetta Foradori, Giovanni Podini and Thomas Widmann spent several years searching for the ideal site before settling in Maremma, spanning southern Tuscany and northern Lazio.

Unlitro comes from Ampeleia’s youngest vineyard, closest to the sea. A blend of Alicante Nero, Mourvèdre, Sangiovese and Alicante Bouschet, it offers a gentler, more immediate expression of the territory while retaining the soul of classic Tuscan wine.
