Les Chênes 2021

Nicolas Grosbois and Philippe Mesnier, two longtime friends, purchased a vineyard in 2013 and began farming organically. Most of their vineyards are located in Azay-le-Rideau, a region renowned for Chenin Blanc, as well as rosés made from Grolleau and Gamay.

Today, we're highlighting Les Chênes, a stunning, small-production Sauvignon Blanc from the duo. Their wines are crafted with natural yeasts and minimal intervention, resulting in a terroir-driven final product. The vines are about 25 years old and grow in soils primarily made up of clay and limestone bedrock.

With its lower alcohol content, this wine is the perfect sipper for a warm, sunny afternoon.
